SPRING SCENE STUDY CLASS

This month-long scene study class aims to guide the actor to unlock an authentic expression of self, and supply the tools required to take on the life of a character. The focus will be on identifying and personalizing a character's driving need and connecting the actors' voice, body, mind and spirit to its active pursuit.

I recognize that Black and Indigenous people are the most vulnerable among us. I acknowledge the racism and white supremacy of our culture, including actor training and the theater industrial complex. I recognize that I have benefitted from these systems. I am committed to creating an anti-racist, inclusive classroom that creates community and fosters a brave, equitable, accessible space for students of racial, ethnic, gender, cultural, class, and other differences.

GRADUATE SCHOOL AUDITION PREPARATION and COACHING

"Auditioning for MFA programs in acting can be, but does not need to be, an isolating and stressful process. Get the coaching and support you deserve to be well prepared and audition feeling confident in yourself and your work.

Our one-on-one coaching sessions are tailored to suit your indivdual needs. In addition to working on the monologues required for the auditions, I also make myself available to help in each step of the application process including the choice of school that's right for you, the application, the personal statement, your recommendations and the interview. To ongoing coaching clients only, I also offer Mock Auditions where I replicate the experience you can expect to have at the schools you are auditioning for. I also host an MFA Grad Panel consisting of the most recent graduates of Yale/Geffen, Juilliard, NYU, UCSD, Brown, UCSD, USD, and others to learn about the programs first hand.

Having graduated from BFA (Boston University) and MFA (Yale School of Drama) schools in acting — I look forward to helping with your graduate school auditions!

Each year many of Brian's clients go on to attend the top graduate acting schools in the country. Click here for CLIENT TESTIMONIALS.
